Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stevie Cool (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Turner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Stevie Cool!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cool throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Left hook, right uppercut from Turner.

Turner has Cool up against the cage in a clinch.
A short body shot lands from Turner as the two fighters clinch.

Cool manages to break the clinch.

Turner rushes Cool and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Turner can't get the takedown.
Turner can't break the clinch.
Cool can't get the takedown.
Turner has a couple of punches blocked by Cool.
Cool wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Turner has him pressed against the cage.
Turner stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Turner landing knees to the head.

Cool successfully pulls guard.
Cool manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Turner manages to get himself to full guard.
Turner striking off his back but it's not causing Cool any problems.
Cool with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Cool drops back looking for a leg! Turner is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Turner manages to kick Cool off! Cool jumps back into Turner's guard.
Cool must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Cool looking to sit in guard and control but Turner gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cool can do anything to dispel that myth.

Cool gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Turner is trying to control the action in half guard but Cool is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Turner thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cool's head.
Cool misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Turner throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A left lands for Cool.

Turner throws a head kick but Cool moves out of range.
Turner misses with a takedown attempt - Cool sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Turner is breathing heavily.

Turner drives through and clinches with Cool against the cage.
Turner lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Cool backwards.

Cool wants to free his trapped foot but Turner is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Turner is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Cool pulls his head out easily.

I looks like Cool might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Cool escapes and gets back to his feet.
Cool avoids a kick to the body.

Cool changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Turner looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Turner prevents Cool from improving position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Turner struggling a bit here.

Cool wants to control but Turner is keeping him busy.
Turner manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Turner throws a sloppy head kick

and Cool counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Turner looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Cool really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Turner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Turner is on top in guard.

James Turner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Turner avoids a punch combination nicely.
Turner looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Turner throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Turner escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cool moves in looking to clinch but Turner pushes him off.

Cool closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cool lands in his opponent's guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Turner is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Cool wants to clinch
and Turner counters with a nice body kick.

A close second round but Stevie Cool will probably get the nod - 10:9.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Turner stuffs the takedown.
Turner throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Turner swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Cool moves into the clinch.

Stevie Cool comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Cool winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
