Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scully Peterson (ranked 3519 p4p, 6193 weight class) and Ron Austin (ranked 441 p4p, 609 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scully Peterson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ron Austin!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Austin shoots in for a takedown but Peterson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
An attempted straight right counter from Peterson misses the target.
Austin has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

It looks like Ron Austin has been cut.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Peterson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Austin was well out of range. Poor timing from Peterson.
Peterson thuds a left hand into Austin's body.
Nice uppercut lands for Peterson. That snapped Austin's head back.

Austin closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Peterson's guard.
Peterson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Peterson tries to get out of the position.
Austin is looking to pass into half guard but Peterson pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Peterson is in guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Peterson's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Peterson is working Austin over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Austin looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Peterson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Peterson passes Austin's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Peterson lands with a punch from half guard.
Austin wants to get back to full guard.

Peterson is controlling the pace.
Austin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Peterson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Peterson lands a nice short elbow.
Peterson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Peterson looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Austin is staying active underneath Peterson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Peterson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Peterson lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Peterson has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Peterson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Peterson postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Austin out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Peterson goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!

Our winner, Scully Peterson, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
