Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Edward Smart (ranked 3083 p4p, 1833 weight class) and Magby Mahrez (ranked 305 p4p, 198 weight class). Smart comes to the cage accompanied by Heartless. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Edward Smart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Magby Mahrez!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Francis DeMontford and Chris Dean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smart closes the distance and clinches.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Smart takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Mahrez tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Smart smiles and moves away.

Smart gets caught napping as Mahrez dives in and scores a takedown. Smart manages to retain guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Mahrez drops back, looking for a kneebar! Smart looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Smart looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Smart!
