The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allu lands a really nice looking cross but Bjornsson seems unphased.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Allu lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Bjornsson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Bjornsson tries to counter with a takedown but Allu is quick to defend against it.

Allu moves into range and connects with a jab.

Allu has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Bjornsson has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Allu goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Bjornsson goes for a takedown in the clinch but Allu prevents it.

Bjornsson works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Bjornsson looking to sit in guard and control but Allu gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Allu gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Allu dips to his left and cracks Bjornsson with an uppercut!
Allu tries to clinch but Bjornsson is having none of it.
Allu misses with a straight left.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Allu uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bjornsson.
