The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mason takes a jab right on the kisser.
Sonny Day seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mason gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Day.
Day looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Jab, jab by Day - just one landing.
Day dips to his left and cracks Mason with an uppercut!
Mason steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Day.
Day scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Mason walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Day goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mason misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mason shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Day pinned against the cage. Day gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Day lands with a good body shot.
Day dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Day lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Day defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mason.
Day lands an overhand right.
Day lands with an overhand left.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Day swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Mason.
Nice uppercut there from Day.
Day is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Nice cross by Day.
Mason moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Mason has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

It looks like Atari Mason has been cut.

Good exchange - Day coming out on top.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Day thuds a left hand into Mason's body.
Mason takes a jab right on the kisser.
Day lands a body shot.
Day misses with a jab, cross combination.
Mason tries to move into range but Day moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Mason fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Sonny Day has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Atari Mason.
Mason looks winded!
Day connects with a body shot that sends Mason's belly button to the back.
Mason is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Nice sprawl there from Day as Mason shoots in.

Mason takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Day scores with a nice head shot.
Day connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Day lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Mason is rocked!
Day getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Mason is still on wobbly legs! Can Day finish him?
Mason steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Day. That one must have hurt.
Day scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Day jabs Mason right on the nose. Mason blinks but takes it well.
Mason's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Day connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Mason scrambles back to his feet.
Day lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Mason falls backwards - clearly groggy! Day dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
