The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Viking throws a sloppy head kick and Spanner moves out of range easily.
Spanner's coach down at The Scrap Squad was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Spanner's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Bleeding Spanner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Viking swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Viking looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Spanner throws a hook but Viking avoids it easily.
Viking throws a quick counter head kick but Spanner was just out of range.

Spanner raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Spanner throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Spanner tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Viking avoids it.

Spanner scores with a jab. Viking acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Spanner tries to clinch but Viking is having none of it.

Viking is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Viking slips a straight right by Spanner.
Spanner throws a predictable looking body shot
and Viking counters with a stiff right hand.
Viking tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Spanner throws an elbow that misses.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Spanner just misses with a elbow thrown towards Viking's brow.
Viking is trying to break free.

Spanner wants to clinch.
Spanner lands with a nice body punch.
Viking bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Viking throws a lazy right hand but Spanner sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Viking counters with a crisp one two that drops Spanner! Viking thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Spanner to his feet! Spanner is in big trouble!
Spanner throws out a loose jab but Viking uses good head movement to avoid it.
Viking tries a head kick but it misses.
Viking connects with a crisp jab.

Spanner is rocked!

That has opened up Bleeding Spanner's cut even more.
Viking takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Spanner throws a one two combo.
Viking throws a hook but Spanner avoids it easily.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Spanner! Viking is out on his feet! Spanner rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Viking is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Viking is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

A very excited looking Bleeding Spanner rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
