Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Robby Fowel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Aki Muhammad!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Winston Alpacca and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fowel takes one to the chin there.
Fowel tries to score a power double leg takedown but Muhammad sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fowel somewhat.
Muhammad lands a big right hand that sends Fowel crashing to the mat! Muhammad stays standing though and waves Fowel back to his feet!
Fowel is rocked!
Fowel misses with a takedown
letting Muhammad counter with a right hand.
Oh Fowel is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Muhammad misses with a jab to the body
and Fowel counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Muhammad!
Fowel seems to have got his legs back now.
Fowel moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Fowel is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Muhammad is trying to escape and Fowel transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Muhammad is forced to tap! Nice work there by Fowel! Very nice indeed!
