Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Xxx Xxx (ranked 24785 p4p, 24650 weight class) and Xxx Xxx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Xxx Xxx has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Xxx Xxx's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Fighter B shoots for a double leg takedown but Fighter A sprawls well. He's pushed Fighter B's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Fighter A doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Fighter B counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fighter B is looking to pass into half guard but Fighter A pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Fighter A is in guard.

Fighter B pulls Fighter A in close to his closed guard and prevents Fighter A from doing any damage or advancing position.
Fighter B tries to land a sweep but no joy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Fighter B is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Fighter A trying to control but Fighter B is working from the bottom.
Fighter A wanted to stand there but Fighter B had control of the position.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Fighter A engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Fighter B misses with a takedown attempt
and Fighter A counters with a head kick. That will keep Fighter B thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Fighter B bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Fighter A wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Fighter B shoots in and gets a takedown into Fighter A's guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Xxx Xxx will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

and Fighter B counters with a body kick that stops Fighter A in his tracks momentarily.
Fighter A shoots in looking for a takedown but Fighter B manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fighter A's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Fighter B thinks about the counter body kick.

Fighter B closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Fighter A did well to prevent Fighter B getting side control.
Fighter A looks like he's trying to stand up.

Fighter B thows a huge punch but Fighter A dodges it nicely.
Fighter A is looking to escape.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Fighter A looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xxx Xxx. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Fighter A shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Fighter B tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Fighter A has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Fighter B wants to hold on but Fighter A pushes him away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Fighter B sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Fighter B is doing well to control the position and prevent Fighter A from advancing to side control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Xxx Xxx will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Fighter A shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Fighter A shoots in looking for a takedown but Fighter B manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fighter A's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Fighter B follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Fighter B shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fighter A pinned against the cage. Fighter A gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Fighter A is looking to counter with a body kick.

Fighter A thinks about countering with a body kick.

Fighter A fails with the takedown.
A countering left hand to the body from Fighter B misses.

Fighter B shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Fighter B was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Fighter A looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fighter B is fending him off so far but Fighter A persists. Nope, Fighter B circles away and we're back to standing.
Fighter B steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Fighter A with a poor takedown
and Fighter B counters with a good, hard body kick but Fighter A shrugs it off.
Fighter B leaves Fighter A with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Fighter B replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Fighter A blocks it well.

And that's the end of the fight!
Xxx Xxx comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Fighter B has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
