Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Peter Smart (ranked 127 p4p, 48 weight class) and Max Chaos (ranked 23 p4p, 8 weight class). Chaos is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Cannibal Corpse - Hammer Smashed Face. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Peter Smart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 33 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Max Chaos!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Fujiwara and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smart thumps Chaos with a low kick.
Chaos uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Smart.
Smart shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Chaos will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Chaos looks to score with a jab to the body but Smart is just out of range.
Chaos shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Smart sprawls well. Smart wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Chaos gets slowly back to his feet.
Chaos throws a hook but Smart avoids it easily.
Smart pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Smart keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Smart feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Smart throws an overhand right that lands on Chaos's shoulder, as Chaos tries to avoid the shot.
Chaos thuds a left hand into Smart's body.
Chaos connects with a right hand. Smart shakes it off.
Good exchange - Chaos coming out on top.

Smart closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Smart lands in his opponent's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Chaos escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Smart gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Chaos avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Smart definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Chaos is trying to keep Smart in close.
Smart scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Chaos utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Chaos looking for subs off his back but Smart has passed one foot through into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chaos wants to improve his position but Smart is controlling well.

Smart is trying to control the action in half guard but Chaos is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Smart lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Chaos sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Smart passes the guard and advances to mount!

Chaos sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Smart is thwarting Chaos's attempts to control the position.

Smart is nestled in close to Chaos, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Smart working over Chaos with some ground and pound. Chaos looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round but I would say that Peter Smart will probably get the nod.

Smart with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Chaos throws a lazy right hand but Smart sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

I would just about give that final round to Max Chaos.
Well Chaos has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
