Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raul Kyshenko (ranked 3753 p4p, 4137 weight class) and Jason Dawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Raul Kyshenko could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jason Dawkins's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Raul Kyshenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Dawkins!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dawkins is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Kyshenko to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Kyshenko shrugs it off.

Dawkins has control of Kyshenko's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kyshenko regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Dawkins swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Kyshenko is now in Dawkins's guard. A big mistake from Dawkins there, giving up the dominant position!

Dawkins lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Kyshenko down.
Dawkins has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Kyshenko shoots in looking for a takedown. Dawkins tries to sprawl out of it but Kyshenko keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dawkins manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dawkins fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kyshenko has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Well Dawkins has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
