Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Adam Bogo (ranked 2435 p4p, 3643 weight class) and Nilson Acacio (ranked 253 p4p, 346 weight class). Nilson Acacio will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Acacio. No joy for Bogo on that attempt.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Acacio! But no joy.
Acacio misses the shot to the body.

Bogo drives through with a takedown into guard.

Bogo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Bogo wants to pass the guard but Acacio is keeping the position.

Bogo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Bogo trying to control the position from guard on top but Acacio is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Acacio wants to sweep here but Bogo controlling him for the moment.

Bogo tries to free his leg and advance position but Acacio is retaining full guard.

Bogo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bogo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bogo drops back looking for a leg! Acacio is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Acacio manages to kick Bogo off! Bogo jumps back into Acacio's guard.

We've been hearing that Bogo has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bogo passes Acacio's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Bogo wants to work for an arm triangle but Acacio is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
