Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Doe (ranked 5838 p4p, 5854 weight class) and Jeppe Mahonen (ranked 601 p4p, 603 weight class). Doe comes to the cage accompanied by Beastie Boys - Gratitude. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John Doe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jeppe Mahonen!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Michael Johnstone and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mahonen tries to score with a low kick but Doe moves his leg out of the way.
Mahonen lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Doe takes a swing at Mahonen's ribcage but misses.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Mahonen! But no joy.
Mahonen closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mahonen lands in his opponent's guard.
Mahonen working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Doe's head.
Doe working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mahonen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Doe is tightening it up a little... Mahonen has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Mahonen reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Mahonen taps out! Nice BJJ there by Doe!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). John Doe!
