Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sega Genesis (ranked 3548 p4p, 3758 weight class) and Nikolai Volkov (ranked 127 p4p, 133 weight class). Genesis comes to the cage accompanied by SSSEEEEGGGGAAAAAA!! Sonic the hedgehogs theme song . The crowd seem to be enjoying Volkov's choice of entrance music: Rasputin - Boney M.. Nikolai Volkov has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Sega Genesis 's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sega Genesis !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nikolai Volkov!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volkov lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Genesis swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Genesis is looking to clinch but Volkov is avoiding it.
Volkov loads up on a big right hand but Genesis slips the punch.
Genesis wants to clinch.
Genesis darts in and clinches Volkov up against the cage.
Genesis lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Volkov backwards.
Volkov breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Genesis misses with a looping left.
Volkov swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Volkov's coach down at Cause & Effect was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Volkov's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
A good leg kick by Volkov.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Genesis cracks Volkov with a right hand to the side of the head.
Volkov misses with a straight right.
Genesis avoids a punch combination nicely.
Genesis tries to close the distance and clinch but Volkov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Volkov misses with a jab to the body
and Volkov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A cross from Volkov lands.
Volkov throws an off balance right hand
and Genesis counters with a left to the body.
Volkov cracks Genesis with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Volkov connects with an inside leg kick.
Genesis rushes Volkov and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Volkov lands with a right to the head.
Genesis fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Volkov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Volkov slips a jab and a cross from Genesis .
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Volkov! But no joy.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Volkov fails to land with a series of punches.
Volkov throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Genesis rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Volkov moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Genesis is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Genesis seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Volkov takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Volkov goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Genesis misses the shot to the body.
A big right from Genesis misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Volkov feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Genesis s jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
A slapping leg kick lands for Volkov.
Volkov swinging wildly here.
Nice shot lands for Volkov.
Genesis has taken the fight to the clinch.
Volkov lands with a light punch inside.
Genesis doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Volkov struggles to land a body shot inside as Genesis controls his hands.
Still in the clinch, Volkov scores with a nice short uppercut.
Volkov breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nikolai Volkov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Genesis throws a right hand that misses
and Volkov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Genesis is rocked!
Volkov throws an overhand right that has Genesis reeling! Volkov follows up with more punches and Genesis is out cold! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Nikolai Volkov!
During a confident post fight interview, Nikolai Volkov thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
Sega Genesis spoke after the fight, saying 'GAME OVER....'.
