Side comes to the cage accompanied by In the Dark - Vintage Culture, Fancy Inc . Ecker has chosen Where The Hood At? as his entrance music. Devin Ecker has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Devin Ecker!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ecker gets a double leg takedown into Side's guard.
Ecker throws a big elbow that misses.
Ecker missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Side seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Ecker throws an elbow that misses. Side uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Ecker's guard. Nice move by Side!

Side slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Ecker pulls Side in close to prevent any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Side sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Side wants to stand but Ecker has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Ecker has a closed guard, preventing Side from standing up.
Ecker is looking to sweep but instead, Side has passed into half guard.
Side is taking a breather. Ecker says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Side wants to control but Ecker is keeping him busy.
Ecker is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Ecker misses with a kick to the body.
A bone on bone clash there as Side blocks the leg kick.

and Side cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Devin Ecker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Side looks to score with a jab to the body but Ecker is just out of range.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Ecker! But no joy.
Side throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ecker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Side tries to bum rush Ecker with a series of wild strikes but Ecker uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Iron Side is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ecker fails to land with a series of punches.
Ecker tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Side is able to avoid easily.
Side waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Ecker.
Side comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Side lands a really nice looking cross but Ecker seems unphased.
Ecker tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Side misses with a straight right.
Ecker lands a right hook to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Ecker.
Ecker tries to score with some ground and pound. Side controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Ecker creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Ecker in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Side looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Ecker turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!

A very excited looking Devin Ecker made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
In defeat, Iron Side stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'll back and knock him out!'.
