Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jan Nowak (ranked 3796 p4p, 3445 weight class) and Shang OR (ranked 470 p4p, 436 weight class). OR has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Jan Nowak has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Nowak seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down OR for as long as he can get away with.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nowak is looking to advance position but OR won't allow it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Nowak has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Nowak wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.

Nowak takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Nowak's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

OR has left one of his arms exposed and Nowak doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. OR screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
