Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Middle Bear (ranked 3709 p4p, 24727 weight class) and Brenton Sanders (ranked 197 p4p, 332 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Middle Bear!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brenton Sanders!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanders stalks Bear and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bear's face. Bear staggers backwards, shaken.

Sanders clinches up with Bear and pushes him back against the cage.
Bear tries for a takedown. No joy.
Sanders is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Sanders landing knees to the head.
Bear has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Sanders is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Middle Bear. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Still in the clinch, Sanders scores with a nice short uppercut.
Bear is working for takedown but Sanders is calmly controlling the position for now.

Sanders landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bear drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Sanders gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Sanders scores with a hook to the body.

Sanders is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Sanders is working Bear over against the cage.
Bear tries for a takedown. No joy.
Sanders lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Bear or not.
Sanders lands a left hand that snaps the head of Bear backwards.

Bear lands a takedown into guard.
Bear prevents Sanders from getting back to his feet.
Sanders is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Bear trying to control the position from guard on top but Sanders is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sanders is looking to stand back up but Bear counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Sanders.

Bear is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Sanders pushes Bear off looking to stand but Bear dives back in and keeps control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Bear is working for a kimura but Sanders is defending it quite comfortably.
Bear looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sanders with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Sanders is looking to escape.
Bear wants to control but Sanders is keeping him busy.

Bear looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sanders looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bear wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sanders keeps working.

Bear looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Bear is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sanders doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bear.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Sanders pushes Bear off, looking to escape but Bear dives into side control. He's locked up a kimura now - that was fast! He's cranking on it and Sanders is forced to tap! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Middle Bear!
