The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fury lands with a nice body punch.

Niquelon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Fury is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Niquelon moves in looking to clinch but Fury pushes him off.
Fury shoots in for a takedown but Niquelon shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Niquelon wants to counter with a clinch but Fury pushes him away.

and Niquelon counters with a straight right hand.
Niquelon dives in and grabs Fury's left leg, looking for a takedown. Fury pushes down on Niquelon's head and hops out.
Fury is looking to counter with head kicks.
Horrible takedown attempt by Fury or perhaps it was just good defense by Niquelon, which made it look bad.

Niquelon tries to pull guard but Fury forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fury won't allow Niquelon to sweep him here.
Fury has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Niquelon is proving hard to escape from.

Niquelon is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Fury is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Fury is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Niquelon has latched onto it... Big trouble! Niquelon pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Fury is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Niquelon!
