The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Artist walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Artist sends Bates crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Artist is motioning to the referee to let Bates up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

The cut above Christian Bates's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Artist thuds his right hand into Bates's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Artist cracks Bates on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Bates falls backwards against the cage. Artist follows up with more strikes that drop Bates to his knees. Artist keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Bates! This one is all over!
