Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Isopaa Mfer (ranked 1715 p4p, 1859 weight class) and Ahjo Kuomanen (ranked 56 p4p, 62 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ahjo Kuomanen!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, David Schapiro and Lou da Vinci.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuomanen checks a leg kick nicely.
Kuomanen blocks a jab.
Mfer throws a poor cross that misses
and Kuomanen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

A nice side step and Kuomanen releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Some bone on bone action there as Kuomanen checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Kuomanen was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.

Kuomanen throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mfer stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

A nice side step and Kuomanen releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
We've been hearing reports that Mfer has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

and Kuomanen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Mfer is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kuomanen.
Kuomanen let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

We've been informed that Kuomanen has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Isopaa Mfer dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Mfer throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kuomanen sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Isopaa Mfer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kuomanen uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mfer.
Kuomanen replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Mfer blocks it well.
Mfer cracks Kuomanen with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Mfer tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kuomanen throws a nice inside leg kick.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Mfer, as that shot connected.

Kuomanen is rocked!
Mfer steps in with a hook that catches Kuomanen right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Mfer follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Kuomanen looks absolutely devastated.
