The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Smith closes the distance and clinches.
Vrjalya tightens his grip and picks Smith up, before dumping him to the ground. Smith manages to land in guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Smith (0) vs (2) Vrjalya
Smith looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Smith pulls Vrjalya in close to prevent any damage.
Vrjalya stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Smith swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Vrjalya trying to control the position from guard on top but Smith is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Vrjalya got a little sloppy there for a moment and Smith has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vrjalya has managed to get both his arms back between Smith's legs - danger averted.
Vrjalya drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Vrjalya as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Smith screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Vrjalya! Nice submission victory there!
