Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simon Gustafsson (ranked 30 p4p, 99 weight class) and Boris Krylov (ranked 6 p4p, 18 weight class). Boris Krylov will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Boris Krylov!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gustafsson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Gustafsson closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Krylov throws a hook to the side of Gustafsson's head but Gustafsson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Gustafsson half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Nice takedown defense from Krylov. No joy for Gustafsson on that attempt.
Krylov just misses with a punch to the body.
Krylov slaps away a takedown attempt from Gustafsson, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Simon Gustafsson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Krylov cracks Gustafsson with an open hand slap.
Gustafsson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Krylov.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Krylov throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Gustafsson closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

It looks like Simon Gustafsson has been cut.
A lazy left from Krylov finds it's target.
Boris Krylov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gustafsson walks straight into a right hand from Krylov - that's dropped him! Krylov jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Gustafsson from any more punishment! Gustafsson complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Boris Krylov!
A relieved looking Boris Krylov thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
