The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
thnake throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Persson's waist but Persson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing thnake off to one side.
thnake scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
thnake looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Persson wants to improve his position but thnake is controlling well.
thnake passes to side control.
thnake has hold of Persson's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Persson tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - thnake cranks the arm and Persson screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Persson, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
