Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Logan Barrengarry (ranked 54 p4p, 108 weight class) and Frank Diaz (ranked 9 p4p, 18 weight class). Barrengarry's entrance music is Guardians of the Galaxy Awesome Mix. A fine choice. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Frank Diaz was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Logan Barrengarry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Sosuke Kotani and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Diaz shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Diaz is trying to work for a kimura but Barrengarry is defending well.

Diaz is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Barrengarry doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Diaz.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Diaz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Barrengarry swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Diaz postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Barrengarry is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Diaz, into his guard.


Barrengarry decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Diaz checks a leg kick.
Diaz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Barrengarry tries to avoid it but Diaz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Barrengarry to the ground. Barrengarry escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Diaz shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Barrengarry's guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Barrengarry, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
