PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Markos Hadjilis (ranked 2483 p4p, 2564 weight class) and Pan Wuhan (ranked 336 p4p, 345 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Markos Hadjilis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Pan Wuhan!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wuhan throws a series of punches but Hadjilis avoids them all with ease.
Wuhan misses with a wild body shot.
Hadjilis tries to land a leg kick but Wuhan saw it coming and moves away.
Hadjilis throws a hook but Wuhan blocks it.
Hadjilis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wuhan circles away.
Wuhan takes a swing at Hadjilis's ribcage but misses.
It looked like Hadjilis was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Hadjilis closes the distance and pushes Wuhan back into the cage.

Hadjilis throws an overhand right that lands on Wuhan's shoulder, as Wuhan tries to avoid the shot.
Hadjilis feints a jab promting Wuhan to slip. Hadjilis then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Wuhan slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Hadjilis bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Wuhan's guard.

Hadjilis decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Hadjilis shoots in looking for a takedown but Wuhan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hadjilis's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Hadjilis does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
As Hadjilis backs off Wuhan throws a huge counter combo but Hadjilis manages to avoid it all.
Pan Wuhan seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Some bone on bone action there as Wuhan checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Wuhan steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hadjilis.
A little jabbing left from Wuhan on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hadjilis has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Wuhan.

and Wuhan counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Hadjilis will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Hadjilis fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Wuhan sprawls well initially but Hadjilis persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Well, if Hadjilis is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Wuhan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hadjilis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hadjilis escapes and gets back to his feet.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Hadjilis lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Wuhan has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Wuhan and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hadjilis moves into the clinch successfully.

A close second round but Pan Wuhan will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Hadjilis connects with a good right hand that stumbles Wuhan. Wuhan circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Hadjilis throws a body shot but no joy.
Wuhan throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hadjilis stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Wuhan thumps Hadjilis with a low kick.
Hadjilis lands a glancing blow to the side of Wuhan's head.
Hadjilis tries to work over Wuhan's front leg with a kick but Wuhan checks it.

Hadjilis throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hadjilis throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Wuhan counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Hadjilis is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Hadjilis is looking to slow Wuhan down with leg kicks.
Hadjilis throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Wuhan doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Wuhan buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hadjilis closes the distance and pushes Wuhan back into the cage.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
