Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sammy Dydra!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alex Wright!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Valeri Chadov and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wright fails with an attempt to clinch.
Dydra is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Some wild striking there from Wright.
Dydra shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wright pinned against the cage. Wright gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Dydra tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Wright counters with a good low kick that Dydra was not able to check.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dydra.
Wright scores with a jab to the body.
Dydra lands a head kick. Wright smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Dydra looks to clinch
and Wright counters with a nice body kick.
Dydra is breathing heavily.
Dydra doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Wright counters with a nice low kick that buckles Dydra's knee momentarily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sammy Dydra. That's going to take a lot out of him.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dydra dodges the punch combination from Wright.
Wright circles away from the clinch attempt
and Wright counters with a good low kick that Dydra was not able to check.

Wright comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Dydra closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Dydra tries to move to mount but Wright blocks the move with his legs.

Wright tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Dydra wants to control but Wright is keeping him busy.
Dydra controlling the position from side mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wright pushes Dydra away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Dydra gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Dydra feints and as Wright raises his hands in defense, Dydra changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Wright keeping moving, preventing Dydra from controlling successfully.
Dydra pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Wright is keeping the position for now.
Dydra stopping the sweep attempt from Wright.
Wright really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dydra. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Wright lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Dydra!
Wright in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Dydra has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Wright's lack of action.
Wright decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Wright will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Dydra has his takedown stuffed
and Wright counters with a three punch combo that has Dydra backing up. Dydra nods at Wright to acknowledge the strikes.
Dydra needs to keep his hands up - Wright had a free shot at his head there.
Dydra is rocked!
Dydra throws an off balance right hand
and Wright counters with a left to the body.
Oh Dydra is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Wright cracks Dydra on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Dydra falls backwards against the cage. Wright follows up with more strikes that drop Dydra to his knees. Wright keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Dydra! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alex Wright!
