Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between David Shaw (ranked 5151 p4p, 25231 weight class) and Paulo Dos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 655 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, David Shaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paulo Dos Santos!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaw throws the kick towards the body but Dos Santos avoids it.

Shaw closes the distance and clinches.
Shaw is looking to break free of the clinch but Dos Santos has double underhooks.

Shaw shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dos Santos's guard.

Shaw decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dos Santos, up you get!

Dos Santos is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Dos Santos is looking for a triangle but Shaw pushes his legs off easily.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Shaw has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Shaw cracks Dos Santos with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Dos Santos enables Shaw to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dos Santos manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Shaw wants to free his trapped foot but Dos Santos is holding on for dear life with his legs.

David Shaw showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Shaw, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
