Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sly Tigre (ranked 4645 p4p, 3114 weight class) and Hans Norvick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tigre's entrance music is Elvis Presley. A fine choice. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Norvick drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Tigre tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Norvick lands with some strikes.
Norvick trying to control but Tigre is having none of it.
Tigre really wants to buck Norvick off and get back to his feet.
Norvick lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Tigre is bucking up trying to escape but Norvick cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Norvick wants to control the pace but Tigre is squirming around nicely.

Tigre bucks Norvick off and manages to get back to his feet!
Norvick ducks right into an uppercut from Tigre.
Norvick tries to move into range but Tigre moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Tigre wants to get back to his feet.

Norvick looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Tigre manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Norvick tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tigre was well out of range. Poor timing from Norvick.
Tigre lands with a nice combination. Norvick backs away looking to recover.
Tigre darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sly Tigre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tigre wants to get back to his feet but Norvick passes into half guard.

Norvick is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tigre is just riding it out for now. Norvick eventually gives up the hold.

Norvick is looking for a kimura but Tigre is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Norvick to get the leverage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
