PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fiyero Lermontov (ranked 263 p4p, 266 weight class) and Georges Moxley (ranked 37 p4p, 38 weight class). Moxley is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Andre Nickatina - Color of the Benz. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lermontov throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Moxley sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Lermontov misses with an uppercut
and Moxley counters with a nice uppercut.
Moxley digs a good hook to Lermontov's body.
Moxley displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lermontov throws out the jab.
Lermontov definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Moxley avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Moxley feints the counter takedown.
Good leg kick by Lermontov.
Lermontov sizes up Moxley with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Lermontov throws a shot from downtown. Moxley moves away and avoids it.
Lermontov backing away here, and Moxley unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Moxley just misses with a punch to the body.
Lermontov throws out a loose jab but Moxley uses good head movement to avoid it.
Moxley let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lermontov turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Lermontov misses with a hook.
Moxley connects with a body shot that sends Lermontov's belly button to the back.
Lermontov swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Moxley counters with a stiff right hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Moxley counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Lermontov badly! He tries to strike back but Moxley puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Lermontov out cold! Oh man, Lermontov will never hear the end of this one!

In his post fight interview, Georges Moxley started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
