PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Drake Tillman (ranked 5213 p4p, 4628 weight class) and Buakaw Payakaroon (ranked 621 p4p, 576 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Drake Tillman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Buakaw Payakaroon!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Dirk Anderson and Michael Johnstone.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payakaroon closes the distance but Tillman moves to the side
and Tillman counters with a thumping low kick.
Tillman swings for the body but Payakaroon moves out of range.
Tillman lets loose with a powerful body kick. Payakaroon will feel that in the morning.
Payakaroon tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Tillman manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Tillman cracks Payakaroon with a left hand that drops him to the canvas, up against the ropes! Can Payakaroon get back up in time? 3, 4, 5, 6, 7... he's on one knee... 8, 9... he's up! 'Walk towards me' says the referee. Payakaroon looks steady enough to continue so we're going to continue!

Payakaroon is rocked!

It looks like Buakaw Payakaroon has been cut.
Tillman lands with a thumping leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Payakaroon tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Tillman paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Payakaroon moves in looking to clinch but Tillman pushes him off.
Payakaroon is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Tillman doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Payakaroon crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Payakaroon's bad books for that mishap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Drake Tillman!
After winning the bout, Drake Tillman thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
