Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Turbo (ranked 4110 p4p, 5870 weight class) and Amr Zeineldin (ranked 527 p4p, 669 weight class). Tony Turbo has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tony Turbo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Amr Zeineldin !
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Daniel Franklin and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Zeineldin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zeineldin content to stall in guard here.
Turbo is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Zeineldin is controlling him.
Zeineldin passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Turbo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Zeineldin on the ground.
Zeineldin landing a few strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zeineldin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Turbo keeps working.
Turbo is looking for a sweep.

Zeineldin decides to stand back up.
Turbo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Zeineldin as he avoids it easily.

Turbo gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Turbo wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Zeineldin manages to pass to side control.

It looks like Zeineldin might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Zeineldin trying to control the action but Turbo is working from the bottom.
Zeineldin is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Zeineldin is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Still in half guard, Zeineldin seems content to control.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Zeineldin connects with a nice short shot to Turbo's temple.
Zeineldin is trying to control the action in half guard but Turbo is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Zeineldin lands a nice short elbow.
Turbo is breathing heavily.
Well, if Zeineldin is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Zeineldin decides to stand up.

Turbo gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Zeineldin to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Zeineldin controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Turbo avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Zeineldin is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Zeineldin is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Amr Zeineldin dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Zeineldin tried to score with a low kick but Turbo checks it.

Turbo has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Zeineldin avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Zeineldin . He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Tony Turbo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Amr Zeineldin .

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Turbo tries to pull guard but Zeineldin holds him up against the cage and eventually Turbo drops back down to his feet.

Zeineldin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Turbo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Zeineldin stands and throws Turbo's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Turbo on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Zeineldin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Turbo keeps working.
Zeineldin content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Zeineldin wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Turbo, who protects the arm well.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Amr Zeineldin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Zeineldin lands with a nice body punch.
Turbo throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Turbo goes for a double leg but Zeineldin avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Zeineldin continues to drive forward.

Zeineldin has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Turbo is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Zeineldin has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Turbo tries for a takedown but Zeineldin manages to get underhooks.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Zeineldin is on top in guard.


Zeineldin stands and steps away. Turbo gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Turbo enables Zeineldin to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Turbo manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Zeineldin is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Tony Turbo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Zeineldin loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Zeineldin passes Turbo's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Zeineldin passes to side control.
Amr Zeineldin has got the better of the ground game so far.

Zeineldin has hold of Turbo's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Turbo tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Zeineldin cranks the arm and Turbo screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Turbo, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Amr Zeineldin !
