Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jaques Armstrong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jose Luis Montoya Rivera!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montoya Rivera shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Armstrong postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Armstrong tries to free his leg and advance position but Montoya Rivera is retaining full guard.

Montoya Rivera is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Armstrong tries to clinch but Montoya Rivera is having none of it.

Montoya Rivera is going olschool here, as he tries to force Armstrong to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Armstrong shrugs it off.

Montoya Rivera swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Armstrong is now in Montoya Rivera's guard. A big mistake from Montoya Rivera there, giving up the dominant position!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jose Luis Montoya Rivera will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
