The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Velasquez closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Velasquez lands in his opponent's guard.
Oloughlin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Oloughlin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Velasquez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Oloughlin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Velasquez pushes Oloughlin off looking to stand but Oloughlin dives back in and keeps control.
Oloughlin moves into full mount! Velasquez won't be happy about that!

Oloughlin prevents Velasquez from getting the reversal.
Oloughlin lands a couple of good shots and Velasquez has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
