Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Devin Flee (ranked 3893 p4p, 5876 weight class) and Young Gunner (ranked 492 p4p, 678 weight class). Young Gunner is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Devin Flee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Young Gunner!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gunner looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Flee avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Gunner.
Gunner is stalling here. Flee is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Gunner seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Flee has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Flee really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
You can see the frustration on Gunner's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Flee stands up and beckons Gunner to his feet.
Flee misses with a wild combination.

Gunner shoots in and bounces Flee off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Gunner is standing up over Flee. Flee looks to escape but Gunner dives into side control.

Flee is trying to buck Gunner off.

Gunner stands up and beckons Flee to his feet.
Flee throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gunner.
Flee is breathing heavily.
Flee throws a left and a right that both miss
and Gunner counters with a one-two to the body.
Devin Flee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Flee throws a right and a left that both miss.
Gunner with the counter takedown but Flee avoids it easily.
Gunner throws a push kick but Flee slaps the foot to one side.

Gunner has closed the distance and engaged Flee in a clinch.
Flee looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Flee is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Gunner prevents Flee from breaking the clinch.

Gunner pulls guard.

Flee would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Flee trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Gunner wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Let's hope that Gunner has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Gunner is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Flee dives into side control.

Flee stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Devin Flee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gunner shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Flee manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Gunner keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Flee escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Flee misses with a two punch combination.

Gunner shoots in and bounces Flee off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gunner seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Flee manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Flee throws a right and a left that Gunner avoids nicely.

Gunner gets in close and instigates a clinch.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Devin Flee will probably get the nod.

Gunner shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Flee is trying to defend but Gunner finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Flee makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Gunner closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Flee breaks the clinch.

Gunner looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Flee wants to get back to his feet.

Gunner seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Flee throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Gunner counters with a straight right hand.
Flee has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Flee misses with a series of wild punches.

Gunner fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Flee sprawls well initially but Gunner persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Gunner shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Flee's guard.
Devin Flee overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Flee wants to get back to his feet but Gunner is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Gunner trying to control the position from guard on top but Flee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Gunner postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Flee will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Flee keeping full guard, as Gunner tries to pass.
Gunner must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Flee wants to get back to his feet but Gunner is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Flee avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Flee scores with a three punch combo!

Gunner shoots in and gets a takedown into Flee's guard.

Flee is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Gunner presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Gunner gets control of Flee's arms and successfully pulls guard. Gunner will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Flee gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Flee rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gunner moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Flee gets tackled into the cage by Gunner. Gunner maintains the clinch.

Flee manages to break the clinch.

Gunner has closed the distance and engaged Flee in a clinch.

Flee breaks from the clinch.
A punch combination from Flee misses.

Gunner moves into the clinch.

Flee manages to break the clinch.
Gunner throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Gunner dodges the punch combination from Flee.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Devin Flee will probably get the nod.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Flee tries to bum rush Gunner with a series of wild strikes but Gunner uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Gunner forces Flee back against the cage and clinches.

Flee pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Flee takes one to the chin there.

Gunner changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Flee looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Gunner misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Gunner connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Flee some visible discomfort.
Gunner trying to control the action but Flee is working from the bottom.
Flee is trying to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Gunner wants to lay and pray for a moment but Flee keeps working.
Flee tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Flee is trying to stand back up.

Gunner is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Gunner should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Flee is trying to get back to his feet but Gunner has full control of the position and if anything, Flee has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Gunner is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Flee has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Gunner wants to control but Flee is keeping busy.

Flee is trying to stand back up.
Flee covering up well and avoiding damage.
Gunner throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.
Gunner trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Flee trying to get back to his feet but Gunner is in full control for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Gunner misses with a punch to the head.

Flee manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position.
Flee scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Gunner misses with a double jab.

Flee gets tackled into the cage by Gunner. Gunner maintains the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Flee's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Gunner shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Flee manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Flee has his feet on Gunner's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

And that's the end of the fight!
