The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Salcedo shoots in and bounces Black off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Salcedo tries to free his leg and advance position but Black is retaining full guard.

Salcedo wants to free his trapped foot but Black is holding on for dear life with his legs.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Salcedo wants to clinch up but Black keeps it at a distance.

Salcedo bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Salcedo tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Salcedo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Black, who protects the arm well.

Salcedo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Black knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Black stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Salcedo has hold of Black's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Black seems comfortable defending it but Salcedo has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Black is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Black is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Salcedo couldn't care less - he's delighted!
