PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Darnell Nurse (ranked 21975 p4p, 22360 weight class) and Bedr Huri (ranked 247 p4p, 254 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nurse waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Huri.

It looks like Darnell Nurse has been cut.
Huri drops his hands momentarily and Nurse takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
The fighters circling - Nurse throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Nurse sizes up Huri with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

The crowd cheers as Huri lands an impressive looking overhand right. Nurse doesn't seem phased though.
Huri throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Nurse rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Huri moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Nurse takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Huri's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Bedr Huri seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Huri looks low and kicks high, catching Nurse right on the side of the head, sending him crashing to the canvas! Will he be able to beat the count? 3,4,5 - he's already back to his feet and ready to go! Let's see if he's still with it!

and Huri counters with a big uppercut that drops Nurse face first to the mat! Will he beat the count?! He's struggled up to his knees on 7 but it doesn't look like he's going to make it... he's been counted out! This fight is all over!
