Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Goran Jovanic (ranked 3041 p4p, 2019 weight class) and Abbas Mohammad (ranked 392 p4p, 269 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jovanic shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mohammad defends it nicely.

We've been hearing good reports from Jovanic's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

It looks like Mohammad might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Let's hope that Mohammad has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Mohammad cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Jovanic throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mohammad's waist but Mohammad gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jovanic off to one side.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Goran Jovanic's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

During a confident post fight interview, Abbas Mohammad thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
