Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anirudh Negi!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Donkey feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Donkey trying to control the position from guard on top but Negi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Negi tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Negi trying to keep a closed guard but Donkey is proving a slippery customer.

Donkey drops back, looking for a kneebar! Negi looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Negi looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Negi!

Donkey is not content to let Negi control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Donkey is trying to get back to half guard.

The referee asks Negi politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Negi prefers to stall for the moment though.
Donkey on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Donkey tries to get out of the position.
Negi is looking to take a break and control but Donkey is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Donkey is looking to reverse the position.
Donkey managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Negi.
Donkey is looking for a sweep.
Donkey wants to control but Negi postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Negi has an Americana. Donkey didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Negi is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Negi hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
