Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Everett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alistair Arona (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alistair Arona told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jesse Everett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alistair Arona!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Everett will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Arona keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Arona stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jesse Everett. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Arona darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Arona passes to side control.
Arona tries for a kimura but Everett is defending well.
Everett tries to buck Arona off but Arona is having none of it.
Arona tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Arona has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Everett gets back to half guard.
Arona looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Arona is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Everett sees it coming and defends easily.
Arona is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Everett doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Arona.
Everett is looking to escape.
Everett won't allow Arona to pass to mount.
Arona frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Arona moves to the back position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Arona has the hooks in. Everett is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Everett is breathing heavily.
Arona working for the choke.
Everett tries to escape but Arona has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Arona has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Everett has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Arona gets his hands free as Everett looks to control.
Arona patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Everett is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Arona has his arm under Everett's chin here. Game over son! Arona squeezes tightly and Everett is forced to tap out!
