Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Serafim Lupei (ranked 270 p4p, 506 weight class) and Lathem McGuire (ranked 41 p4p, 80 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 22 - 2, fighting out of London, Serafim Lupei!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lathem McGuire!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Chris Edwards and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lupei tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McGuire paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Lupei looks to land a left hand but McGuire moved out of range nicely.
McGuire keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Lupei connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Lupei lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

McGuire has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Lupei tries to counter by moving into the clinch but McGuire manages to circle out of the way.

Lupei fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt McGuire.
Lupei lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McGuire circles away quickly and effectively.
McGuire appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Lupei throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

McGuire throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lupei sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Lupei displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as McGuire throws out the jab.

Lupei uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before McGuire has time to react.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

McGuire smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Lupei looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Lupei will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Lupei tries to bum rush McGuire with a series of wild strikes but McGuire uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
McGuire unleashes a big counter combination but Lupei bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
McGuire wants to land a leg kick but Lupei is out of range.
McGuire throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Lupei on the side of the head.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
McGuire uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lupei.
A looping hook to the body misses from Lupei. McGuire does a little dance to reset his feet.
McGuire dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Lupei. That did some damage!
Lupei takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
It looked like Lupei was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from McGuire.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Serafim Lupei will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

McGuire lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Lupei on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Lupei.

McGuire has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Lupei finds it's way round the side to connect with McGuire's head.
McGuire is rocked!
Serafim Lupei is winning the standup battle so far.
Lupei cracks McGuire on the jaw with a powerful right hand and McGuire falls backwards against the cage. Lupei follows up with more strikes that drop McGuire to his knees. Lupei keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save McGuire! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Serafim Lupei!
Serafim Lupei seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
