The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aisland lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hitoshi circles away quickly and effectively.
Hitoshi jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Hitoshi fails to land the takedown.
Hitoshi looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Aisland throws a lazy body kick
and Hitoshi counters with a single leg into guard. Aisland didn't expect that.
Hitoshi working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Hitoshi lands a couple of elbows.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Aisland is trying to keep Hitoshi in close.

Aisland is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Hitoshi frees his head nicely. Oh but Aisland has switched to an armbar! Hitoshi is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
