The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

silva seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Sultan is holding on tight.
silva tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

silva looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sultan is fending him off so far but silva persists. Nope, Sultan circles away and we're back to standing.
Sultan wants to clinch
and silva counters with a low kick, right behind Sultan 's knee.

silva bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Sultan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Sultan pushes silva away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, silva gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
