Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dino Rex (ranked 24822 p4p, 4658 weight class) and Aronne Profeta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Profeta tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rex swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Rex tries to counter by clinching up but Profeta breaks away and moves out of range.
Profeta closes the distance looking to clinch
and Rex counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Profeta gets a clinch.
Rex utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Profeta jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rex walks away with a smile on his face. Profeta gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Profeta manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Rex on his heels. He'll look to pass Rex's guard now, I'm sure.

Profeta is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Profeta is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Profeta decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Profeta shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Profeta won't allow Rex to get back to his feet.

Profeta gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Profeta closes the distance and pushes Rex back into the cage.
Profeta wants to take the fight to the mat but Rex manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Rex blocks an uppercut.
Profeta is trying to drag Rex to the mat but Rex just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Dino Rex has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aronne Profeta.
Profeta misses with a knee to the head.
Profeta is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Rex stops a takedown attempt from Profeta.
Profeta tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Profeta is trying to pull guard but Rex has him pressed against the cage.
Profeta using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Rex has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Rex gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Dino Rex is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Profeta closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Profeta decides to return to a standing position.
Profeta tries to clinch but Rex is having none of it.

Rex is looking to counter the offense by Profeta and move into the clinch.

Rex can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Profeta controls the pace.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Rex tries to counter by clinching up but Profeta breaks away and moves out of range.

Profeta closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Profeta lands in his opponent's guard.
Rex wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Profeta manages to pass to side control.
Rex really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Profeta seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Profeta has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Rex defend it? Profeta steps over the head and cranks it - Rex is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Profeta!
