And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Frank Granger!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Chris Edwards and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Granger.
Panayotov looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Granger is fending him off so far but Panayotov persists. Nope, Granger circles away and we're back to standing.
Granger misses with a double jab
and Panayotov counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Granger thinking.
Granger looks to land a combination but Panayotov avoids it well.
Granger throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Granger tries to close the distance and clinch but Panayotov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Panayotov lands a body shot.
Granger takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Granger avoids a kick to the body.
Granger thows a leg kick but Panayotov checks it
letting Panayotov counter with a right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Granger misses with a body shot.
Panayotov attempts a counter takedown but Granger avoids it well and moves away.
Granger throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A little feinted left hand from Panayotov on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Granger misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Panayotov lands a lovely overhand right.

Frank Granger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Panayotov takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Granger throws a hook but Panayotov blocks it.
Panayotov throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Granger.
Panayotov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Granger.
Granger swings for the body but Panayotov moves out of range.
Granger turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Granger stuns Panayotov with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Granger throws a lazy uppercut
and Panayotov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Granger drops Panayotov with a beautiful combination! Panayotov stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Granger is looking for the KO!
Panayotov is rocked!
It looks like Nikolay Panayotov has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Granger goes for a small jab and connects. Now Granger goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Panayotov stumbles back but Granger runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Panayotov to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Panayotov will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Frank Granger!
