The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rutherford throws a left and a right that both miss

so MacBurgh counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
MacBurgh looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
MacBurgh wants to pass the guard but Rutherford is keeping the position.
Rutherford is pulling down on MacBurgh's head. It's preventing any offense from MacBurgh, at least for the moment.
Rutherford is trying to keep MacBurgh in close.
Rutherford has MacBurgh pulled in close to control his posture.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

MacBurgh stands up and waves to Rutherford to follow him.
Rutherford connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed MacBurgh momentarily.

Rutherford circles away from the clinch attempt
and Rutherford counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
MacBurgh takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Rutherford steps in with a hook that catches MacBurgh right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Rutherford follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! MacBurgh looks absolutely devastated.
