The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz stuffs the takedown.
Diaz shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Haigh counters by clinching up.
Diaz drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Haigh gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Haigh tries for a takedown. No joy.

Haigh breaks the clinch.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Haigh.
Diaz manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Diaz works his way to full guard. Good work.
Haigh has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Diaz looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Haigh stops Diaz from standing up.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Diaz is on top in guard.

Haigh looking to hit a scissor sweep but Diaz is one step ahead there.

Haigh looking for a guillotine here but Diaz defends easily.
Haigh on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Haigh tries to get out of the position.

Diaz drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Diaz seems to have locked his on tight now - Haigh screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Diaz, as he picks up the win!
