Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Mike Bard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bruce Sidebar!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yasuomi Hirokawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bard shoots for a takedown but Sidebar saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Good exchange - Bard coming out on top.
Sidebar blocks the body kick.
Sidebar connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
We've been hearing reports that Bard has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Sidebar showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Bard.
Bard rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sidebar moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Bard looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Bard moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Bard swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sidebar thuds a left hand into Bard's body.
Bard lands with an uppercut that bounces Sidebar off the cage and back into range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bard throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sidebar sees it coming and avoids it easily.
The fighters circle momentarily. Sidebar darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Bard scores with a body shot.
Sidebar throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sidebar shoots in looking for a takedown but Bard manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sidebar's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

The fight stays on the outside here - Sidebar looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Bard cracks Sidebar with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Sidebar displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bard throws out the jab.
Bard clobbers Sidebar with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Sidebar is rocked!
Bard measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Sidebar! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Mike Bard!
Mike Bard spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
