Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ezekiel Rawlins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Raimo Summanen!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Daniel Franklin and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rawlins changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Summanen throws a head kick but Rawlins moves out of range.
Rawlins tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Summanen manages to circle out of the way.
Summanen closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Rawlins lands a jab to Summanen's midsection.
Rawlins tries to sprawl but Summanen drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Rawlins has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Summanen is working away from the top position though.
Summanen wants to take a breather but Rawlins is having none of it.
Summanen not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Rawlins works his way to full guard. Good work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rawlins looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Rawlins working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Summanen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Rawlins is tightening it up a little... Summanen has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Summanen reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Summanen taps out! Nice BJJ there by Rawlins!
