The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Santos decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Santos is working for a submission of some sort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lessa is looking for a sweep. Santos is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Santos seems to be working for a kimura but Lessa defends the submission attempt.
Lessa is not content to let Santos control the position.
Lessa manages to get to full guard.

Lessa is looking for a triangle but Santos pushes his legs off easily.
Santos is looking to stand up but Lessa won't let him.
Santos looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Santos thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Santos loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Lessa escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Santos gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Santos has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Lessa to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Santos is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Lessa pulls down on the head and he's put Santos to sleep! This one is all over!
