PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chester Drawers (ranked 2205 p4p, 2828 weight class) and Moto Miyashita (ranked 236 p4p, 301 weight class). Moto Miyashita told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chester Drawers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Moto Miyashita!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, John Mangel and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Miyashita drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Drawers tries to buck Miyashita off but Miyashita is having none of it.
Drawers sneaks back into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Miyashita is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Miyashita is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Drawers doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Miyashita.
Miyashita looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Miyashita is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Drawers is just riding it out for now. Miyashita eventually gives up the hold.

Miyashita uses his free foot to push down on Drawers's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Drawers.

Drawers passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Miyashita!

Drawers is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Miyashita has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Drawers working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Miyashita doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Miyashita manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well Miyashita has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
