Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Colin Fotheringham and William Gold.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cutting changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Matens looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Matens is looking to get back to his feet here but Cutting is keeping cool and he's managed to take Matens's back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cutting closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Matens did well to prevent Cutting getting side control.
Matens pushes Cutting off looking to stand but Cutting dives back in and keeps control.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Cutting connects with a nice short shot to Matens's temple.

Cutting lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Matens quite badly. Matens pulls Cutting in close trying to recover. Cutting postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Matens on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Matens doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Corner Cutting!
Corner Cutting was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
